As you may have guessed, it corrals dozens of food vendors into a few blocks of the Mission District for an afternoon of endless gorging.<\/p>\n<p>Hubs and I met up with some friends and nommed on a wide variety of delectable delights. Josh\u2019s favorite (pictured above), the Chicken Mole Sandwich from L\u2019s Caffe, was almost entirely gone by the time I picked up my camera. I only got one bite!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"the crowd at the san francisco street food festival\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-522\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_1346.jpg\" title=\"the crowd at the san francisco street food festival\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some might say this was a pretty popular event\u2026<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-509\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dessert first! We sampled both the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee and \u201cThe Yes Please!\u201d from the Creme Brulee Cart. A nice decadent start to the festivities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"offerings from the creme brulee cart\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-521\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_1326.jpg\" title=\"offerings from the creme brulee cart\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All this walking called for a drink!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"cocktails!\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-511\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/2.jpg\" title=\"cocktails!\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chicken &#038; Sausage Jambalaya from Boxing Room was another thing I only got one bite of, because I was too busy savaging my Nombe Wings.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"chicken &#038; sausage jambalaya from boxing room\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-520\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_1332.jpg\" title=\"chicken &#038; sausage jambalaya from boxing room\" \/><\/p>\n<p>NOM indeed. Tangy, sweet, spicy, but I couldn\u2019t even begin to guess what was on them. The flavor was so complex, and the texture of the skin blew my mind. I\u2026 I just don\u2019t understand. Sigh.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"nombe wings\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-523\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_1334.jpg\" title=\"nombe wings\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Entertainment was all around! \u201cDon\u2019t H8 Dough-N8\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"street entertainment\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-510\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/11.jpg\" title=\"street entertainment\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even though it was hot as hell, I couldn\u2019t resist the Corn Miso Ramen from Hapa Ramen. And I\u2019m glad I didn\u2019t! Mhhmmm.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"corn miso ramen from hapa ramen\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-513\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/4.jpg\" title=\"corn miso ramen from hapa ramen\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This Hand Pulled Burrata Garlic Bread from State Bird Provisions was heavenly. I don\u2019t think we spoke the whole time we ate it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"hand pulled burrata garlic bread from state bird provisions\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-527\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_1358.jpg\" title=\"hand pulled burrata garlic bread from state bird provisions\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some worked hard, others\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"working hard\/hardly working\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-512\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/3.jpg\" title=\"working hard\/hardly working\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And the music never stopped!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"more music from a stoop\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-525\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_1352.jpg\" title=\"more music from a stoop\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nojo offered up a Tonkatsu Sandwich (a pounded, fried pork cutlet \u2013 which I\u2019m now realizing I never tried) and a super tangy Japanese Cucumber Salad.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"tonkatsu sandwich &#038; japanese cucumber salad from nojo\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-514\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/6.jpg\" title=\"tonkatsu sandwich &#038; japanese cucumber salad from nojo\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Or was this Josh\u2019s favorite? Frankaroni from 4505 Meats \u2013 a deep-fried block of mac \u2018n cheese with bacon-studded hot dogs. Because, you know, of course.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"frankaroni\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-518\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/10.jpg\" title=\"frankaroni\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Also from the guys at 4505 Meats \u2013 the \u201cBest Damn Cheeseburger\u201d and some Chicharrones, because clearly our fat consumption wasn\u2019t high enough for one day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"chicharrones and best damn cheeseburger from 4505 meats\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-519\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/9.jpg\" title=\"chicharrones and best damn cheeseburger from 4505 meats\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Aaaand that\u2019s my husband everyone! Spicy Pork Ribs from To Hyang. Also a sweet shirt.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"spicy pork ribs from to hyang\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-517\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/7.jpg\" title=\"spicy pork ribs from to hyang\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Street art in the Mission never ceases to amaze and confuse.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"street art in the mission\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-515\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/5.jpg\" title=\"street art in the mission\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fried Chicken with Sriracha Butter. This was exactly as amazing as it sounds.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"fried chicken with sriracha butter\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-526\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kitchenetteblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_1363.jpg\" title=\"fried chicken with sriracha butter\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Veggie Crispy Rolls from Osha Thai were less than exciting.<\/p>\n<p>My temporary tattoos, however, HELLO! Sweet Potato Pie Waffles from Pinx. Holy wow.
